Our organic Tarocco oranges are a specialty of southern Italy: sweet, juicy fruits with red flesh that are packed with nutrients.
They are ideal for eating on their own, for a healthy breakfast, or added to fresh and creative salads.
Grown using certified organic methods, Tarocco oranges are safe even for young children thanks to their edible peel, which is not treated with waxes, pesticides or polishing agents.

Characteristics of the Tarot Orange

The Tarocco orange is part of the family of red oranges, produced exclusively in the south of Italy. It seems that its origin comes from a spontaneous mutation of the blood orange.

It is a plant with good posture and development, and various clones (Gallo, Ippolito, TDV, Meli) can be distinguished in addition to the common variety. The fruit is characterized by an oval shape with a sort of raised edge all around the stalk area. It has a thick skin that is easy to remove and has reddish streaks; the pulp has few seeds, a delicious fruity taste, and a yellow-red coloration that intensifies with the degree of ripeness. This orange is also distinguished by its high content of vitamins C, A, B1, and B2, as well as anthocyanins, which are antioxidant substances responsible for the typical coloring. It is harvested between January and March while it blooms between April and May.
