Organic Hass Avocado Baby 

The Hass avocado is the best known and most widely consumed variety in the world, accounting for 85% of our certified organic production.

In the Baby version it has a proportionally smaller core
and it's a real concentrate of flavor to be enjoyed in just a few bites.
Grown in Calabria, in an ideal microclimate between the sea and the mountains, it is harvested by hand and shipped within 12 hours: you can ripen it naturally at home in 10-12 days to fully appreciate its strong flavour.

Characteristics of the Avocado Hass

The tree is strong, it tolerates cold temperatures poorly (not below 3°) and fears strong winds. The Hass variety is of Guatemalan origin. In the early 1920s, a postman named Rudolf Hass amateurly cultivated some avocado pits for a small plantation. The obtained plant, given its excellent taste, was then patented and has reached us. 

The fruit has a green and wrinkled skin, thick and adhering to the pulp, the shape is pear-like and the sizes are medium-small. The stone is small. Its intense flavor characterizes it on the palate; The yellow and creamy flesh is perfect for guacamole, while the oil content is close to 20%. When ripe, its skin becomes very dark, tending towards brown/black, and its flesh becomes soft to the touch. It fruits well and regularly. It is a variety that has imposed itself on the market forcefully, despite having a smaller size, also because it withstands transport very well. In our fields, it can be harvested from December to April.
